Context
Our 4th graders are learning about the regions of the United States this year. We will be starting with the Mid-Atlantic region, specifically Pennsylvania. This will allow our students to relate to their state and where they live. Throughout the unit plan students will learn about Pennsylvania's history, major cities, agriculture, notable figures, economy, wildlife, government and symbols. |
Unit Goals
- The students will be able to virtually explore the various regions, cities, and landmarks in Pennsylvania.
- At the end of the unit, the students will understand key aspects of life in Pennsylvania.
- Students will learn about Pennsylvania’s past, present, and future.
